Biotech Park

The Biotech Park, as outlined in red in the photograph below, is a two block area (bordered by Winthrop St, Clarkson Ave, Nostrand Ave and New York Ave) adjacent to Downstate Medical Center (#1). Site #2 is the new Biotechnology Incubator; #3 is the commercial synthetic chemistry facility. The close proximity of the Biotech Park to Downstate Medical Center enables companies to easily access University facilities and resources.

The Biotech Park is near public transportation - the #2 and #5 subway lines (S) and bus lines on Nostrand Ave and Clarkson Ave.

The Biotech Park has been designated as an Empire Zone. Certified businesses located within this area are eligible to receive tax credits and other benefits.
